Plot Twist: Why Your Light Work is Actually Shadow Work
Many believe that meditation is a very peaceful process.
Well, I guess it's time to burst that bubble!

The more we open ourselves to the Light, the more we are able to see the shadows that work through the deeper layers of the mind. Unfortunately in our modern world, most people either live in a 'toxic positive' world or in an 'emotionally suppressed' one.
When we suppress our emotions, it disconnects a person from the totality of their own being - and as a result, 'dis'-ease is created.
In our modern world, we see many issues and diseases that sprout from attention disorders. This is because many are disconnected from themselves and their feelings because of the constant input of data and information; along with suppressed and unresolved emotions.
The true meditator goes beyond these limited expressions to stay resolved and complete within themselves. Without shadow work, there can be no light work. Without going through the darkness, we will never know the true power of our Light.
The mind can easily keep us distracted; but to find that meditation space within and discover true stillness, it means we need to observe within and see what is not allowing the mind to be still, to be steady.
The essence of Yoga is expressed in the beginning of the Sutras as "Yoga Citta Vritti Nirodah" - which means Yoga is the cessation of the disturbance/fluctuations of the mind.
The mind can be disturbed from past energies, or anxious about future energies. Emotions come and go. We need to filter and purify what we see within ourselves - else it becomes diseases over time. This is the true power of meditation.
As and when we reach spaces of mental stillness, we are able to see aspects of our being that the conscious mind hides away in order to protect itself. But this accumulation disconnects us from the true beauty of life and this amazing cosmos we live it.
The real Magic is felt when in Presence and the mind is perfectly still. This allows us to cleanse off all heavy energies of the past while making us very clear within ourselves, fully in the here and now. This is the only way to break apart from the illusions of the mind and enjoy the beauty of the inner space.
Once the mind reaches stillness and the heart opens - then the magic is truly felt.

The Seed of Light exists within the Darkness.
